Welcome Message
Director-General, Sports Administration, Ministry of Education

Dear Esteemed Guests and Participants,

On behalf of the Sports Administration of Ministry of Education, I warmly welcome all distinguished participants to the 11th International Seminar in Sport and Exercise Psychology (ISSEP 2024). As the Director-General, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the organising committee, honoured guests, esteemed scholars, and attendees joining us from around the world.

Taiwan’s burgeoning exercise culture emphasises the importance of physical and mental well-being, a matter of significant public concern. At the same time, our commendable achievements in international sporting events, notably securing
19 golds, 20 silvers, and 28 bronze medals at the 2022 Asian Games, showcase our athletic prowess despite our modest population of just 23 million. Sports psychology significantly contributed to this success. We will proudly share our research achievements and eagerly await the exchange of knowledge at ISSEP 2024, where international scholars will present the latest research findings and ideas.

This seminar offers a valuable platform for domestic and international scholars and professionals to exchange experiences and gain insights into sport and exercise psychology, fostering interaction, inspiration, and innovation. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the keynote speakers, presenters, and authors for their invaluable contributions. I hope you all have a fulfilling experience and a delightful stay in our vibrant country.

Best regards,
