張育愷教授於2008取得美國北卡羅萊納大學 (University of North Carolina at Greensboro, UNCG) 健身與競技運動科學哲學博士。張教授現為國立臺灣師範大學體育與運動科學系研究講座教授兼副系主任，亦為身體活動認知神經科學實驗室主持人。張教授並同時擔任國際運動心理學學會 (International Society of Sport Psychology, ISSP) 財務長，以及亞太運動心理學會 (Asian-South Pacific Association of Sport Psychology, ASPASP) 與中華民國體育學會 (National Society of Physical Education, R.O.C) 副理事長。
張教授的研究領域聚焦於競技與健身運動心理學，尤其是以實驗心理學與認知神經科學取向探討健身運動與認知功能之議題。張教授迄今發表150篇以上之國內外期刊論文，其中包括Sport Medicine、Health Psychology、Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise (MSSE)、NeuroImage、Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology (JSEP)、Psychology for Sport and Exercise (PSE)、Psychophysiology等國際知名期刊。
張教授2021年獲頒美國北卡羅萊納大學格林斯堡校區，衛生與人類科學學院傑出校友之榮譽；過去曾獲得2020年運動科學研究及發展獎勵(教育部體育署)、2019年傑出研究 (中華民國科技部)、2014年北美身體活動暨競技運動心理學會年輕學者獎、2013年國際運動心理學會年輕學者獎、2012年國際運動心理學會華人年輕學者獎、2012年吳大猷先生紀念獎 (行政院國家科學委員會)、2012年中國青年救國團青年獎章 (博學類別得獎者)、2009年美國北卡羅萊納大學 (格林斯堡校區) 最佳博士論文獎等。
目前張教授亦為體育學報 (TSSCI) 主編、Journal of Sport and Health Science (JSHS, SSCI/SCI) 副主編、International Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology (IJSEP, Scopus) 領域編輯、PSE (SSCI/SCI) 編審委員。

Professor Yu-Kai Chang obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) in the United States in 2008. Currently, Professor Chang is the Research Chair Professor and Vice Chairman in the Department of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan, where he also directs the Physical Activity and Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory. Beyond his academic achievements, Professor Chang serves in prominent positions within major exercise and sport psychological organizations: as Treasurer of the International Society of Sport Psychology (ISSP), Vice President of the Asian-South Pacific Association of Sport Psychology (ASPASP), and Vice President of the National Society of Physical Education, R.O.C., highlighting his esteemed standing in the global and local sport psychology and physical education spheres. Professor Chang’s research focuses on sport and exercise psychology, specifically in exercise and cognition through experimental psychology and cognitive neuroscience approaches.
To date, Professor Chang has published more than 150 research papers in reputed journals, including Sports Medicine, Health Psychology, Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise (MSSE), NeuroImage, Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology (JSEP), Psychology for Sport and Exercise (PSE), Psychophysiology and etc.
Professor Yu-Kai Chang has been honored with several prestigious awards recognizing his contributions to research and scholarship in the fields of exercise and sport psychology. These accolades include the
2021 HHS Distinguished Alumni Award (teSchool of Health and Human Sciences at UNCG), 2019 Distinguished Research Award (the Ministry of Science and Technology in Taiwan), the 2014 Early Career Distinguished Scholar Award (the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity, NASPSPA), the 2013 Developing Scholar Award (the International Society of Sport Psychology, ISSP), the 2012 Chinese Young Scholar Award (the International Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology, IJSEP), the 2012 Da-You Wu Memorial Research Award (the National Science Council of Taiwan), and the 2009 Outstanding Dissertation Awards (the UNCG).
Professor Yu-Kai Chang holds esteemed editorial roles across several recognized journals in the field of exercise and sport psychology. He is an editor for the TSSCI-indexed Physical Education Journal, an associate editor for the SSCI/SCI-indexed Journal of Sport and Health Science (JSHS), a section editor for the Scopus-indexed IJSEP, and a member of the editorial board for JSEP, which is recognized in both SCI and SSCI.
